Till next time.. I leave you with...

Culture bread on hold for a while.

With the advent of a hard drive crash..
(secondary drive) and the loss of over 18,000 (yes 18,000!) mp3's I am leaving posting anything on the blog for a while,
(well until I sort out this disaster).. So hopefully will be back in December.

Thanks

Eddie.

Le Corps Mince de Françoise. (again)

Hey! You know what?? I did put these down to a one hit wonder.
But no... they have pulled it out of the bag with a wonderful remix.
It is sexy, sassy, and all together one damn fine tune.
check em out here.

Le Corps Mince de Francoise - Something Golden (Lenny Picko remix)

French Fries.

I am in love with this oddity.
Really mad.. and totally cuddly.
check him out
here.

French Fries - Coconut Ft Bambounou

Great track doing the rounds at the mo..
I quite like it, though I know nothing about him
apart from he does a lot of d.j sets, anyway not
really bothered about his history.. just this track.

Boris Dlugosch - Bangkok

One thing about being busy, is missing some fantastic music that
has been zooming around other blogs, including, these two
wonderful mixes that have been around since the end of October.
Better late than never......

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Heads will Roll ( a-track remix)

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Heads will Roll (willy joy sex dream dub)

Space "stolen from another blog".

I have stolen some Space.. maybe no one will notice that the space has gone.
if in doubt look here. nowt else more to say really.. apart from "why did I bother"?
but.. why did I even bother? track below.. and if you must..
there is a link above.. (nearly bedtime).. must stop stealing shit choons
from massively popular music blogs .. (ad lib to fade)

Space - Carry on turn me on (Architeq mix)

Nice .. nice NICE!! I did know that "Memory tapes"
would do something of worth eventually! Just, as always love the midnights
anyway, so this is a nice treat. MP3 below.

Midnight Juggernauts - This new Technology (Memory tapes mix)

Some nice hard electro/hard fucker sounds,
from Toxic Avenger.. love the video.. a lot!
But to be honest, I think I would have to be "On One"
to really appreciate this nasty fucker.. but to all you
headcases out there.. enjoy :) BTW my fave remixers..
South Central.

The Toxic Avenger - Toxic is Dead (south central remix)

Ohh another fine video from my ov guilty pleasure that is
"The Horrors" If you don't have the wonderful album
"Primary Colours" yet.. then do so.. check my previous (support
and love) posts of this band.. I still cant get enough.
Below is a Japanese release of the song (courtesy of the horrors
website).

Very nice Video, plink then a plonk, which we always
need and love!! can't find any Mp3's ov em thou.. which is
very very frustrating.. anyway enjoy, and mail me if you can find
any MP3's

Their myspace page seems to have a bug, that forwards you to a weird
dying fan page on facebook, so I will not list it on here.. ohh hum..

PopKid 2000 - PlayBoy's Bend from La Film Fabrique on Vimeo.

Many apologies to those of you that follow
This blog, I have been a tad pre occupied lately with other things..
It is all very boring, but i have been trying to sell some Charles Eames furniture,
looking around for a new art studio, and generally catching up on films that I had
recorded on my Virgin box, (20 of them!) One that I did not record, but downloaded
was "
Paranormal Activity" what a great, great movie!.. I don't scare easily..
but this really scared the shit out of me...
other films of worth this month, District 9, "Moon", strangely .. "The taking of Pelham 123"
anyway..
Bit out of practice! but here is a corker
suggested by Mr K of "The Kettle" By the band "
Minitel Rose".. wasn't too sure ..
but now I just adore it.. buy the album,"The French Machine" it is really great..
I really think that this, and other bands like "Midnight Juggernauts"
should come under.. intelligent, thoughtful pop :) Anyway cheeky MP3 and a great video below.

Minitel Rose - Elevator

Slagsmålsklubben.

This is a suprise.. fantastic stuff.. I would write more
but I only have this
link. This is nearly .. just nearly
near to my idea ov electronic heaven. And I love the nod
to Baader Meinhoff .. With the promo pic.

slagsmalsklubben - Boss For Leader

This very retro.. well if you can include retro to three summers ago..
But I like this.. as in I like YELLE, and TEPR.. go on indulge yaselfs.
Nowt wrong with a bit of nostalgia.. anyway.. get into the rollerboot
groove (again).

Le corps Mince De Françoise - Ray Ban Glasses (Le Gillettes remix)

Really like this.. starts off sounding a bit weak.
But eventually there are some nice sounds, sounds like,
a version of you in 20 years times, without "the best of the carpenters"
In ya record collection, this goes from fromage, to homage with it's
Cure ish bass feel.. But I like this, But don't get over excited..

Memory Tapes - Bicycle

You can fine em Here.

Time to get out the Ford Cosworth again, as it is electronic mayhem.
This time the tweeters remain intact, but we are cutting out the seat belt, and we
are wearing primark , golfing jumpers, and have kidnapped the traffic warden..
whilst drinking red bull *spiked* with three Hummers..
This could be a return to form of .. dazzling jumpers, and nice young boyfriends.

Les Petits Pilous - Jolie Fille - (The Black Beetroots mix)

Fuck Buttons.

You know what?? I want to be in this band..
Seriously I do. They push (excuse the pun) every button
for me..the sonic explorations that they make with every
song, makes my heart ache with joy.. the production is
pure genius.. the loudness, then, the loss of ego within the
noise.. makes me feel at home.
and i really think I know where they are trying
to come from.. and where they are trying to get to. The video is good..
But the original studio track is .. quite wonderful.. it transends everything.
"Sweet love from planet earth" E.P is excellent, go and buy it..

Please let me be in your band.
Check em out here.. and here.

Picture Plane.

This is very sweet, nice , nice..
Come back the early 90's, all is forgiven! This reminds me of
808 State "pacific" but in a gayer way :) Could be longer.. as
you will find that you will have it on repeat a lot.

Pictureplane - 5th sun (Heliopolis mix by rainbow arabia)

Very nice video for the song "Feet of Courage"
A nice simple affair , with a truly hypnotic video.
Enjoy a break from the usual electronic mayhem.

Nancy Elizabeth - Feet Of Courage from Leaf Label on Vimeo.

Dan Black.

Not that, into this choon.. as vocals are concerned, but I love the
Strings, they would make a great sample.. I would love to see this as
an instrumental.. anyway .. here is the choon..by
Dan Black.. decide for yaselfs.
Ohh and I got this from this blog, which is actually really good. So
thanks to that.

Dan Black - Alone (MJ Cole vocal mix)

This is as tasty as deep fried, electro Mars Bars!
I cannot but fall in love with the "Acid" bassline.. and the wonky
synths.. fantastic!! I am not a huge fan of Linus Loves, generally,
But this mix is just superb. It is like you are joyriding in an
Ford Cosworth, with the tweeters removed, whilst hurtling towards
the oncoming cops (that are ,most probably listening to "Girls Aloud"
Shouting; "Outta my way coppers, this is not gonna stop for anyone"
errr.. umm.. ok, It is great.. just download the fucker!

Linus Loves - Prom Night (Burns remix)

Chromeo.

Well I have been a fan of this band for over the last year or so. They are funny,
quite disco, and more importantly, very current.
ahem.. I say "current" only if you may live in Miami.
You see they, live and breathe Miami, not ya Miami sound bollocks..
They are "living" in a Pizza delivery van.. sending love and pepperoni.. to your door.

They have a new track out now see link HERE. Called, "I Can't Tell you Why"
Which is excellent.
But in homage.. here are a couple of mixes of "Tenderoni"
If you can't see the humour .. then you are most likely,
sunning yourself on Miami drive, Margate.
The Sinden mix is off the kilter!.

Chromeo - Tenderoni ( Renaud mix down 2)

Chromeo - Tenderoni (Sinden remix FT Kid sister)

Ok.. weird and interesting? or just weird, and then weirder on top.
Now this is the thing, I know nothing, NADA, Fuck all about this band.
But this has been on me Mp3 player for ages.
The website says, under construction, but it has said that for a while..
Anyhow I bloody love this. The lyrics are soo excellent!! it really is
a nasty repose (me thinks) of a "Dear John" letter, the rhyming and
the timing, is really, really clever.. and to some, maybe, a bit nasty.. umm...
I love it. Any info would be great..
Me thinks that British Hip hop is back.. did it ever go away?

North of Ping Pong - Leary Bitch Project

http://www.myspace.com/northofpingpong

Per chance I got to know this band through the excellent CRACK magazine,
I really get into the (almost) pornographic groove,
and the laid back stoned out vocals.
They say that they are influenced by Can and NEU,
but I cannot see that myself, they remind me more of mid 90's Turing Brakes,
or latterly , Midnight Juggernaughts.Anyway here are a couple of mixes,
the second one Schlock mix .. i really like.. and for you chart whores an Adam freeland mix
that sounds like a Stereolab track.. circa "Emporer Tomato Ketchup.

Well Disco September is over, I hope you found something of worth,
especially the lovely Dorothy, track, and the absolute weird and trashy disco pribeh..
Not forgetting the brilliantly sublime Don Cash "Disco Wreck". I think there was a few
to like. I stayed away from the usual disco cliches, though Giorgio Moroder, and
a remix of Donna Summer did get in.
And also a change of the layout of the blog.. I am trying hard, to make this
as easy as I can to read.. and hopefully you enjoy.. I quite like the new layout,
If you think it is cock, then let me know.

Eggstone - Taramasalata

Lest we forget...

I am a huge fan ov Monte Cazazza, his enfant terrible persona : nee, art terrorist factions, hissy fits in art galleries, posting gay hardcore porn to well known U.S politicians etc have always made me smile.
When i was aware of art , I was, and have always been subject to an awe that is something between.... , thrilling, disgust, upset, and overall.. an errr annoyingly "wanting to hear more".

I first saw him on the video of Throbbing Gristle "live at Oundle School" AND i was hooked..
He worked as an artist for many years . And when he met Throbbing gristle crew, most notably "Genesis P Orridge".. Something odd happened, and together, they where quite scary, in the sense that they discovered that life has no boundries, or art has no value, or merit (to which I agree).. but later turned into paranoia, and distrust (all seen in it's embryonic stage in the Oundle School videos.

He has released a few albums, but my favourite is "The worst of Monte Cazazza"
My favourite is "Get that habit man" .. ooh i adore it!! video below of "The Atom Smasher" and download of "Kick that habit man" (from the worst of Monte Cazazza)

Monte Cazazza _ Kick that Habit Man

KATAPULTO

Wonderful stuff from Polish musician Katapulto, I actually met him at the "CRACK" magazine launch party last friday. He is a splendid chap.. with a lot of ideas, and enthusiasm for his craft.
His music is completely filled with art terrorism, lifted with humour, and to be honest a slight feeling of bewilderment.
Check out his myspace page here. I personally love his track "Lost files, hidden folders" I am a sucker for spikey euro madness.. best choon of the week!! Video below:)

THE HORRORS - Mirror's Image

Crikey .. I still love this band, and this is an excellent choice as a single, when I hear it, it always reminds me of a scenario in my head .. "Kevin Shields, has been kidnapped and locked in the recording studio, until they threatened his family with pain of death, until he does some guitar riffs"
Which.. if turns out to be true, I could have sold that story to The Sun newspaper.
Anyway great video, i love the low fi video effects (which we used to called 3rd generation, video, back in the day). Super stuff .
